Welcome to the BOXX PADEL League! Here’s everything you need to know about how our league operates:
League Format:
- Each league consists of 10 teams, with 2 players per team.
- Every team will play each other twice over the course of the season, ensuring plenty of competition and chances to improve.
Match Structure:
- Each match will be played over 2 sets.
- The traditional tennis scoring system is used: Love, 15, 30, 40, Game, or Deuce if the score is tied at 40.
- if games are tied 6-6, TIE Breaker WILL BE PLAYED IN the SEVENTH GAME TO DECIDE A WINNER OF THE SET. EACH TEAM WILL SERVE TWICE CONSECUTIVELY and you MUST WIN BY 2 POINTS, WITH A MINIMUM OF 7 POINTS.
- Match results will either be a win or a draw.
- Win = 3 points, Draw = 1 point.
Set Difference:
- Along with points, we’ll also track the Set Difference, which is the difference between sets won and lost. This will be used to determine standings in case of a tie in points.
Self-Governed Matches:
- Matches will be self-governed by the players, meaning there won’t be a referee.
- After each match, teams will report their results directly to BOXX PADEL, including the final score and set difference.
Substitutions:
- Each team is allowed up to 3 authorised substitutions per season if one of the players is injured.
- A substitute cannot be a registered player for another team but can act as a sub for multiple teams in the league.
Match Days & Times:
- Matches will typically be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10pm and 11pm. This ensures a regular rhythm and a time slot that works for most players.
Fees:
- The league fees will be discussed and confirmed upon registration. This will cover your participation in the season, match scheduling, and league management. We aim to keep the costs reasonable while ensuring a high-quality experience for all players.
For more details, feel free to reach out during the registration process, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
With this structure, we aim to create a competitive and enjoyable experience for all teams. Get ready to play, improve your skills, and enjoy the adrenaline that comes with each match. See you on the court!
